Dave Swartzendruber,
Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Pinecrest Capital, LLC, based in Huntersville, North Carolina, is a 25-year veteran of middle-market growth, M&A execution, and operational turnarounds for family-owned and privately held companies typically valued between $10 million and $250 million. He has led and executed more than $175 million in buy-side, sell-side, and recapitalization transactions, restructured over $35 million in corporate debt, and partners with investors, family offices, and institutions collectively managing $10+ billion in assets. Bringing a true operator’s perspective, Dave previously founded and scaled a Seattle-based IT services company recognized on the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private companies list, growing the firm from startup to more than 120 professionals with multimillion-dollar EBITDA. He has also helped scale advisory platforms, including contributing to the expansion of a boutique M&A firm from three professionals to a 30-person financial services organization.
Earlier in his career, Dave built a sports and entertainment family office and held operating leadership roles across three portfolio companies, driving growth initiatives, partnerships, and national brand positioning. At Pinecrest, Dave focuses on aligning capital, operational execution, and strategic partnerships to drive measurable EBITDA growth and long-term enterprise value. Dave attended Ferris State University and holds an active North Carolina insurance license (Life & Health and Property & Casualty) and FAA pilot certifications. Outside the office, he enjoys flying, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.
